The Beckett Corporate Stank

Somewhere along the line, I pissed off the powers that be at Beckett Blog. I know this because my blog used to listed on their "Others" list...then I wrote this post about my mistake in saying Beckett broke the news on the the upcoming O-Pee-Chee set. In that post I referred to something called the "Beckett corporate stank"...I don't really even know what that means...it was mainly as a joke because I knew I would be getting grief for essential reposting a Beckett Blog post.

Somewhere between then and now, I was removed from their blog links. It's a little sad I guess but it gives me window into why some blogs really, really, really hate Beckett. The blog itself is not really even a blog in the traditional sense...it's more like a steady stream of press releases...straight from Topps, Upper Deck, Tri-Star, Razor, Panini's email onto the blog.

And if you think printing plates have reached the breaking point of stupidity, just take a look at this monstrosity:

Hurry...they are going fast...only $60.00.

Plus the Beckett Blog isn't even close to being the best Beckett Blog out there.

Well, if that's really the reason, that's mighty childish. Even for them.

Chris Olds removed my link on their blog lists three times. Eric Jahnke would bring it back and he'd remove it.

Eric even admitted to it.

I just took it for granted you were forever forbidden from being on the list along with Sports Cards Uncensored. The two most popular card blogs would just be banished as if they don't even exist. Sad, sad, sad.

They removed me from their blogroll after I asked them for some professional courtesy with the term Boxbusters. I asked them to either split the term up (box busters)like they were doing before my blog started, or to put Beckett in front of Boxbusters to help avoid confusion.
