25 Random Photos of Jason Heyward

Last week was a pretty eventful week for me as I was able to attend my first ever Spring Training game. It was Cardinals vs. Mets down in Jupiter, Florida and it featured an intriguing pitching match-up as "don't call it a comeback" Matt Harvey took the mound for the Mets and veteran journeyman John Lackey was pitching for the Cardinals. It was a great pitching duel as Lackey didn't give up a run while he was pitching and Harvey only gave up one run.

The game also gave me a chance to see one of my favorite players, Jason Heyward, in his new red and white uniforms as he was traded from the Braves to the Cardinals in the off-season.  My Trading Card Preservation Society podcasting partner Dave the Cardboard Junkie is still reeling from that trade and to honor Heyward here are 25 random photos from the game in a hopes to show Dave that Jason is doing well with his new team. He seems to be happy and isn't that the important thing? It's okay that he's not with "us" anymore. He's moved and and thriving on his new team. We'll always have the good times like his 2010 All-Star Selection or his two Gold Glove Award in 2012 and 2014. Those are moments we'll always treasure as he's probably going to start winning championships with the Cardinals.

I took about 300 photos during the game including an embarrassing amount of David Wright and so you'll probably be seeing a couple more posts like this in the near future.
