I realize that this review is about a decade late but I recently finally got around to watching the great documentary American Movie. It follows two Wisconsinites on a quest to finish their movie Coven which they have been working on for years.
Besides being a great movie about the lengths to which a dedicated director will go to follow his dream, the Green Bay Packers run to the Super Bowl championship plays an important minor character throughout the movie. It is a very accurate portrayal of how crucial the Packers are in the background of nearly every Wisconsinites' life during the Fall and Winter.
Here is the best scene from the entire movie in my opinion...it didn't actually make the movie but is instead a deleted scene...
