I've noticed that my recent posts have dealt with
ex-Packers and
ex-Twins so let us continue the trend and highlight all the Ex-Packers [and how they parted ways with the Green and Gold] that I recently received in a trade from trade partner extraordinaire Mike D. along with a few other cards I've recently picked up.
He came back to the Packers briefly in 2009 after being with the Texans for a couple of seasons and was able to become the Packers all-time leading rusher. Following the season he wasn't resigned and eventually retired after trying to make it in the CFL.

We all remember this one don't we. Brett was traded to the Jets for a 4th Round pick in 2008 and eventually broke every Packer fans heart by playing with the Vikings for two seasons.

Jennings went to the Vikings last season and
then said some stupid shit about Aaron Rodgers. I honestly wonder if Greg could do it over he would have taken less money, stayed with the Packers, and become as beloved with Cheeseheads as Donald Driver.

Last season's Greg Jennings to the Vikings was this year's James Jones to the Raiders. You just have to feel for these receivers who thrived with Aaron Rodgers and then leave for teams that have quarterback by committee.

FADING INTO THE ETHER -- JERMICHAEL FINLEY
Jermichael's currently a free agent after his contract expired at the end of last season.
There's lots of speculation that he won't play in 2014 to be able to receive an insurance payment. I personally doubt he'll ever play for the Packers again which is sad considering how good he was when he was health.

Along with Finley's injuries, the Johnathan Franklin story is a very sad one. Franklin was drafted along side Eddie Lacy in the 2013 Draft and I hoped they would make a fearsome duo in the backfield. Unfortunately, Franklin severely injured his neck last season and following doctor recommendations
he announced his retirement during the off season.

After Ryan Grant's contract expired in 2012 he wasn't invited back to training camps in 2013. He didn't sign with another team like Charles Woodson or try out in Canada like Ahman Green...he just sort of faded into the ether of ex-NFL players.
