Happy days are here again as I've received my 2014 Packers season tickets waiting list postcard. Last year I was sitting at 60,604 on the list after moving up more than 5,000 places due to Lambeau Field's expansion. This year's postcard would offer no such big jump but I was still looking forward to my favorite piece of mail to show up...and it did last week.
My new position is 59.832 falling below 60,000 for the first time. That's a move up of 772 places which is a little lower than the average number of places I've been moving up. I initially started at #69,193 so I've made 9,361 places progress since 2007. That's an average of 1337 places per year [I realize the Lambeau expansion throws that average way off but I'm going to go with it] and if that average keeps up I'll be at the top of the list in 44.75 years. That will put me at 79.75 years old when I can watch Aaron Rodger's grandson tell us all to "relax" as he beats the Bears.
