Owning An Iconic Packers Magazine Cover

I don't have too many magazine's that I've kept over the years...although for some reason I thought Mad Magazine #300 was going to be worth something some day and I kept a copy in pristine condition.] But one issue of Sports Illustrated I have always wanted was Dan Currie's legendary photo on the front of the December 18th, 1961 issue.

Currie played linebacker [or "defenseman" as SI calls him] for the Packers during the Lombardi era and was elected to the Packers Hall of Fame in 1984. He was a part of one of the greatest single team draft classes in NFL history. Currie was drafted in the first round with Jim Taylor [2nd round], Ray Nitschke [3rd round], and Jerry Kramer [4th round] in the 1958 draft.
