It's interesting to note that although Pafko had cards in 1951 and 1952 he was absent from the set in 1953 and again in 1955. Who knows why other than Topps only included so many players in those early sets. He played a complete season with the Dodgers in 1952 and in 1954 he was with the Milwaukee Braves and hit 19 home runs and 85 RBIs so it certainly wasn't production that caused him to be cut from the checklist.
