Everybody's Got A Record: Hideki Matsui Edition

**In this series we strive to prove the universal truth that every baseball player holds some kind of record.**

Hideki played in the first 518 consecutive games he played of his major league career which is the major league record to start a career.  Before that he also played in 1,250 consecutive games in Japan, giving him 1,768 consecutive games.  That's not quite Cal Ripken's 2,632 in a row by a long shot but if you combined the totals from both leagues it would be the third longest streak in baseball history after Lou Gehrigs 2,130 game streak.
