If you were unlucky enough to be on the Kansas City Royals these past few weeks have been brutal. First it was daily e-mails to get Jeff Francour elected to the All-Star game...once that fell through it all shifted to Alex Gordon and his chance to be one of the last players named. I collect Alex's cards...I have more doubles of his cards than probably any other Royal except Bo Jackson. I want him to succeed more than anything regarding the Royals but damn did I almost wish he wasn't in contention to be an All-Star last week. It was an avalanche of reminders to vote for him but in the end Paul Konerko got the spot and all I had was a full e-mail trash bin.

By the way, the required Royals All-Star selection is Aaron Crow. [All the non-Royals fans in the nation simultaneously asked "Who?"] He is the Royals rookie middle reliever who will probably be the full-time closer in the near future. He's
got a 2.13 ERA currently having pitched in 35 games.
As far as Aaron Crow cards go he just got his first flagship rookie card in 2011 Topps Series 2 [sent to me by Spiegel of
Nomo's Sushi Platter] and he was also
included in 2010 Topps Pro Debut. There is also a card of Aaron in the
Upper Deck World of Sports set.
