Here are a few cards from my first trade with Spiegel of
Nomo's Sushi Platter blog. He sent me a whole bunch of Jim Thome's and some assorted Mariners and Twins...but I get easily distracted by the shiny.
Delmon's
currently on the DL after starting the season off pretty slow for the Twins...you might not realize how big a deal that is considering Delmon knocked in 112 RBIs last season.

This card is purple, I swear.
Chone is an okay player but the Mariners fell for the standard free agent trap they usually fall into. They pay way to much for someone having a career year [and also contract year] and then when they put on the Mariners uniform, poof, their production disappears.
Adrian Beltre, anyone?

This last card isn't shiny but it's nice to look at. Cliff ended up pitching a grand total of 13 games for the Mariners...that's right, 13 games.
The Mariners Blog of the Seattle Times recently did a break down of what the Mariners gave up to get Lee from the Phillies and what they received from the Rangers to trade him. It's a brain bender but it sounds like the Mariners may have come out a little ahead.
