Everybody's Got A Record: Chuck Finley Edition

**In this series we strive to prove the universal truth that every baseball player holds some kind of record.**

It's turning out that today is Chuck Finley Appreciation Day here on the blog...

Chuck's 2,600+ strikeouts are pretty impressive but it is probably the three times that Chuck struck out four batters in an inning that gives him a record. "Four strickouts in an inning?" you say. "Yes, four strikeouts in an inning," I say. This happens of course when the third batter swings and misses strike three and the catcher misses the pitch as well. The batter is able to advance to first and then Chuck being the rock star that he is strikes out the 4th batter as well. No pitcher other than Chuck has ever done this more than once. Chuck has done it three times [5/12/99, 8/15/99, and 4/16/00].
