**In this series, I am counting down my personal favorite cards in the 2010 Topps Vintage Legends insert series from #50 to #1.**
The #49 position has Ozzie Smith in the 1969 Topps design. Ozzie's has the bad luck of being, in my opinion, too new a player to be a "vintage legend."

Also, as you can see from this original Bob Gibson on the '69 version they were not called the "CARDINALS" instead they were the "CARDS." And so this card gets a poor score for historical accuracy.
