Blink and you'll miss the fact that Japan's first permanent MLB player, Hideo Nomo, played for the Royals in 2008. He pitched in 2008 for three games all in relief. Over those four innings pitched he had a staggering 18.69 ERA. As far as I can find, the only Nomo as a Royal cards are found in 2008 Topps Triple Threads. I've tracked down two to the base variations currently:

2008 Topps Triple Threads #79 Hideo Nomo Red Base Version #1001/1350

2008 Topps Triple Threads #79 Hideo Nomo Sepia Version #212/525

There is also at least one three-piece jersey relic that spells out "ROY" honoring Nomo's 1995 National League Rookie of the Year title in the set. As to be expected, they are listed at pretty insane prices for just jersey cards to try to capitalize on Nomo's very dedicated fan base.

Don't forget to do Harmon Killebrew sometime. He finished out his career with one year in KC before he retired. The only Killer card I know of with him in a Royal uniform is the 1975 SSPC.

Oh I won't forget. I want to track down that card before I highlight it.
