I picked up this card from one of Fan of Reds eBay auction for a great deal. This is Roy's second Topps card...he had a card in the 1953 set even though he didn't play in the majors until the 1953 season.
When they make a list of the greatest pitching seasons ever Roy's 1959 season has to be considered. He went 18-1 and pitched in 57 games with a 2.70 ERA. But he never actually started a game for the Pirates and racked up 10 saves on top of the outstanding record.
