Former Vice Presidential candidate and Buffalo Bills quarterback
Jack Kemp died of cancer yesterday. While I didn't agree with the man's politics, he was a great quarterback...and sports can bridge all political gaps can't it? Along with leading the Bills to the AFC championship in 1964 and '65, he was one tough S.O.B. Here's a line from
the obituary:
"In 11 seasons, he sustained a dozen concussions, two broken ankles and a crushed hand _ which Kemp insisted a doctor permanently set in a passing position so that he could continue to play."
