When I first started working on my 1971 Topps set I wrote that the inspiration was Thurman Munson's Rookie Card. Well, thanks to the generosity of reader Jason C. I now have one of my White Whales. The scan cuts off the right side of the card a little bit...it really isn't cut off center.

With this card it also gives me a complete first page of the set which is more of a psychological victory than anything else.
