Pieces of History Is Live...Does Any One Care?

Found this out shopping after work today...2 packs for $4.97...

Much the same design for the "moments" cards but I do prefer this year's version of the player's cards...


Pack 2:

A nice little numbered Glavine...


I can't tell if this card will be loved or hated by Cubs fans...

As ugly as ever. The box of 2008 POHs sits at my Target untouched. It's been there forever. Completely full. They don't even move it to the back behind the other cards or anything.

Just put my review of this set up as well.

PLEASE tell me I can trade for that Morneau! I didn't pull any Twins, and that has made me a sad panda.

i picked up the same blister on tues. these cards are ugly. this is consistently one of my least favorite sets out there. one of the cards i got is commemorating thanksgiving. give me a break!

I like the historical moments inserts. As for the base, the framed border is too dominating.

Last year's hobby boxes are super cheap and I'm sure the '09 release will drop like a rock as well. Not a bad break if they go to $39.95.
