Topps Is A Little Tardy

I received this in the email tubes the other day from Topps:

"Dear Consumer.

Sincerely,

Consumer Relations
The Topps Company, Inc."

To me, this is a little weird.
First off, the card in question isn't an autograph or relic card. It's one of Topps' Red Hot Rookies from Topps 2008 Series II. When I first pulled it I thought it would be an autograph [why make these cards if they weren't?]...I soon learned the sad truth that only some of the Red Hot Rookies would be autographed and mine would not be. I even know what the card looks like:

There can't be more than a couple of thousand of these card out there...isn't that about 2.3 seconds on the Topps card presses?...

I'm not one to complain about redemptions in packs...I can appreciate the difficulty the card companies must face in getting cards signed before a deadline. But come on Topps, fire up those presses already.

That reminds me... I never redeemed mine. I'm not sure I even want to. I'm not sure where the thing is to be honest...
