2013 Banned Book Trading Cards Scans

Back in November I wrote about the announcement of the second set of banned books trading cards put out by the Lawrence Public Library in my home in Lawrence, Kansas. I received the cards long ago and totally spaced on showing off the great looking set which consists of six original artistic works symbolizing the book with the reverse giving you an excerpt from the book.

You can still pick up the 2012 and 2013 sets HERE.

Bless Me, Ultima by Rudolfo Anaya

I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings by Maya Angelou

The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger

Charlotte's Web by E.B. White

Leaves of Grass by Walt Whitman

The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian by Serman Alexie

The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky

Oh wow. I didn't know that about "Catcher In The Rye". I thought the reason it was banned was because it's such a shitty book.
