1991 Pro Set Desert Storm Needs List

Along with some Packers, The Cardboard Junkie also gave me a huge chunk of one of the best political cards sets ever 1991 Pro Set Desert Storm. These are so much better than the Desert Storm sets put out by Topps and it has a very impressive world leaders subset that Allen and Ginter revived many years later.

I think that the days of these sort of sets is passed. I know President George W. Bush had a playing card set of the most-wanted Iraqi leaders and several patriotic companies made smaller card sets for the War on Terror but they were nothing like the Desert Storm sets of the early 90's. I can just imagine the Twitter storm that would start with a Topps set with cards featuring drones or maybe a card for ISIS [which isn't that crazy since Saddam Hussein has a card in this set as well as several other Middle East dictators].

If you've got any of these I would love to take them off your hands.

Again a post that makes me regret purging so much of my collection from that era. This set was a big favorite among the kids at my school and I had boxes of them.

And I agree completely on how much better this was than the murky Topps entry. I hope you can find what you need.

I have a card you don't and I don't want it. Do you want: 77-Javier Perez De Cuellar (the secretary general of the United States)?

If you still need them, I have #s 98, 99, 121, 197, 233 & 242.

If you have any spares from the set, I'm missing #18, 52, 114, 118, 132, 171, 179, 185, 227, 238, 251, 252 & 253. If you don't have any of them, I could always send you the ones I have now and a proper trade could be worked out some time in the future, or not...I would rather they end up in a collection of someone who would appreciate them than have them sit in my duplicates box.
