Everybody's Got A Record: Herb Score Edition

**In this series we strive to prove the universal truth that every baseball player holds some kind of record.**

Herb was the first rookie pitcher to average more than one strikeout per inning when he struck out 245 batters in 227.1 innings during the 1955 season. That was also the rookie record for strikeouts until Dwight Gooden surpassed it in 1984.
