Jim Thome, The Anti-Berkman

About a month and a half ago I lamented/over reacted about how my Lance Berkman collection had been "spoiled" because of his move to the New York Yankees. But based on Fat Elvis' performance [zero home runs in 29 games] his Yankee visit might be a short one.

I've got the reverse situation going on with Jim Thome. Jim spent most of his career being a pain in the side of the Twins as a home run smashing Cleveland Indian. Now he's belting homers and breaking records for the Twins and I've had to reconsider, reevaluate, and expand my Thome collection.

I've always liked Thome, he seems like a good guy and has been a great player for a long time. I'm still pissed the Tigers ignored him this offseason and the Twinkies got him for next to nothing.

Always did enjoy watching Thome when he played for the then AA affiliate Cleveland Indians in Charlotte, NC. He and Manny Ramirez made a good one two punch.
