Genius Covers: Beavis and Butt-head #5

The news that Beavis and Butt-head are soon coming back is great news for me. The show, like Jersey Shore, is more than a lot of casual fans and critics give it. I think we are all waiting for their inevitable riff of a Lady GaGa video.

This cover is from issue #5 from July 1994. If you aren't familiar with the comic it is basically three or four short stories with our two merry pranksters doing things like going to gym class or bothering their neighbor, Tom Anderson, who is essential Hank Hill from King of the Hill.

Here's one of my favorite clips with their riff on the song "Existence Is Punishment" by a band called Crowbar:

The back cover holds an interesting surprise as well...a Beavis and Butt-head trading card set put out by Fleer.

I completely forgot about this and it looks like I can get a pack for $1.35 on eBay or an entire box for $24.99.
