In case you've missed it in the new articles about John Paul Stevens retirement from the Supreme Court let me point out something amazing. Mr. Stevens was at the World Series game in which Babe Ruth called his shot. It almost sounds like a joke about his age but it's really just a small piece of an amazing life. He also earned a bronze star in World War II for his code breaking work.
